The rules for using OriginStats.
OriginStats is operated by Spectre Investment Group Limited, a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands under company registration number 2209591, whose registered address is Mandar House, 3rd Floor, Johnson's Ghut, Road Town, VG1110, British Virgin Islands ("OriginStats", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms are an agreement between you and that company. By accessing OriginStats you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these Terms from time to time; we will post the updated version here with a revised "Last updated" date, and for material changes we may also notify you or ask you to re-accept. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance.
OriginStats provides football statistics, AI model outputs, market context, and historical outcome summaries for general informational purposes only. OriginStats does not accept, place, broker or settle bets or wagers of any kind, does not hold funds on your behalf, does not process payments that depend on the outcome of any match, and does not provide personal financial advice or assure outcomes. We do charge for subscriptions and for Origin Coins, as described at clauses 6 and 8; those are payments for access to the service and to content within it, and are not connected to the outcome of any match.
The service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. You may use the service only if you are at least 18 years old, meet any higher legal age requirement in your location, and your use is lawful where you access it. You must understand and follow the rules that apply to your own use of sports information services.
Model signals and statistics are not personal recommendations and do not account for your circumstances. Market values can move quickly, data can be delayed or inaccurate, and model outputs can be wrong. You alone decide how to use the information. Past performance does not assure future results.
Use analytics with care. If decisions around sports outcomes are affecting you or someone you know, seek support from qualified local services.
Subscription terms, renewal prices, taxes, and available payment methods are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected plan price unless cancelled before the current billing period ends. You may manage or cancel your subscription from your account page or your payment processor's billing portal. Refunds for partial periods are not provided except where required by law.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
The Experts and League Season features are available only to users 18 years of age or older. Predictions published or unlocked through these features are informational only and do not constitute financial or investment advice, and nothing in these features involves a bet, a wager, or a payment that depends on the outcome of any match. Origin Coins may be purchased with money. Once purchased, earned or granted they cannot be redeemed, exchanged, cashed out, or transferred back into money or any other consideration, and they carry no cash redemption value. Purchases of Origin Coins are final and non-refundable to your payment method; the only circumstance in which Origin Coins are returned to your balance is an automatic void-day refund when every prediction in an unlocked Expert's daily set is voided because the match was postponed, abandoned or cancelled. A result that lands exactly on the handicap or total is not a void and does not trigger that refund. Referral Coins are a promotional class of Origin Coins, issued to you under the referral programme rather than purchased with money. Referral Coins expire 90 days after they become available for you to spend, and we will notify you inside the service in advance of that date. When you spend Origin Coins, we deduct from any promotional Referral Coins in your balance before we deduct from purchased Origin Coins, and among Referral Coins we deduct from whichever are due to expire soonest, so that your own money is not consumed while a promotional balance sits beside it and dies unused. Purchased Origin Coins do not expire, and a reversal of a referral reward never deducts Origin Coins you purchased.
9.1 Nature of the rewards. OriginStats League Season rewards (described as "gold", "silver" and "bronze" placements) are promotional rewards issued as Rewards balance. They are not money, not a cash payout, not a deposit, and not a financial product, and they cannot be redeemed for or converted into money. Rewards can be used to obtain items in the OriginStats shop, and those items have value; what Rewards do not have is any cash redemption value. Nothing in this clause creates an entitlement to money.
9.2 Free entry; skill, not chance. Entry to every League Season competition is free. No purchase, subscription or payment of any kind is required to enter, to remain eligible, or to receive a reward, and paying for any product does not improve your prospects. Placement is determined by the criteria at 9.5, which rank accounts on the measured performance of their published predictions, and by the participation requirements at 9.6. Where those criteria cannot separate two accounts, 9.5 applies a final tiebreak that does not measure performance. The competitions are accordingly competitions of skill and are not a lottery, a game of chance, or betting or gambling of any kind.
9.3 Eligibility. You must be 18 years of age or older and must satisfy clause 3 (Eligibility and local laws). We may exclude accounts held by our personnel, contractors or their immediate households. This exclusion does not extend to accounts operated by OriginStats itself, which are addressed at 9.4.
9.4 Competitions, divisions, and who takes part. Weekly, monthly and seasonal competitions run concurrently, each divided into an "All" division open to every eligible account and an "Expert" division open only to accounts identified as an Expert. An Expert may compete in both divisions. A seasonal competition ordinarily spans approximately three months. The annual championship is governed by 9.11 and is not divided. OriginStats also operates accounts on the service that publish predictions and take part in these competitions on the same terms as any other account. Those accounts are ranked alongside yours and may place, may occupy a placement that carries a reward, and may earn promotion or a championship entry. Where one of them places, accounts below it are placed lower than they would otherwise have been, and fewer rewards are available to other accounts in that period as a result. We do not identify which accounts these are. Rewards allocated to an account operated by OriginStats are never redeemed and confer no benefit on any user.
9.5 How placement is determined. Within each competition and division, accounts are ranked first by win rate; then, where win rates are equal, by average profit percentage (shown on the Site as "Avg Profit %"); then, where those are also equal, by the number of settled predictions; and then, where all of the foregoing are equal, an account that competed as an Expert during the relevant period is placed above one that did not. Win rate is the proportion of your decided predictions that succeed, a prediction being decided only where it produced a win or a loss. A prediction whose stake is returned in full is disregarded in calculating win rate, and adds nothing to your profit, and so neither helps nor harms you. A prediction is settled where the match was played and the prediction resolved, including where the result falls exactly on the handicap or total and the stake is returned; a prediction on a match that is postponed, abandoned or cancelled is not settled and is not counted for any purpose. For the purposes of average profit percentage, every prediction you publish carries the same fixed notional stake of play money, published on the Site, and there is no limit on the number of predictions you may publish in a day or on the total notionally staked: four predictions on one day place four times that stake at risk. Average profit percentage is your total profit or loss over the relevant period divided by the total notional stake actually at risk in that period, expressed as a percentage; it does not rise merely because you published more predictions. Where a stake is returned in full it is disregarded in both the profit and the stake at risk; where half of a stake is returned, only the half that was at risk is counted. For example, at a published stake of 50,000, four predictions of which three win at a price of 1.90 and one loses produce a profit of 85,000 on 200,000 at risk, an average profit percentage of +42.5%. The notional stake is not money, cannot be withdrawn or accumulated, and exists only to measure average profit percentage. Rewards are awarded to the highest three placements in each division. The specific reward amounts are those published on the Site from time to time and are not fixed by these Terms.
9.6 Minimum participation. Eligibility for a reward requires both publishing predictions on a minimum number of separate days and having a minimum number of predictions settle, within the relevant period, as published on the Site. Both requirements apply in both divisions and to every account, including accounts identified as an Expert. An account that does not meet them is placed below every account that does, and is not eligible for a reward, whatever its win rate.
9.7 One reward per period. No account may receive more than one reward per competition period. Reward amounts differ by division, and those published for the Expert division are higher than those published for the All division at the same placement. Where an account places in both divisions of the same period it receives the Expert placement, which is the more valuable of the two. The other placement remains recorded to that account and carries no reward; it does not pass to any other account, and no other account is moved up in its place. A division may therefore award fewer than three rewards in a period.
9.8 Unfilled placements. Where a competition period closes with fewer eligible accounts than there are placements, the unfilled placements are not awarded and no substitute reward is payable. Published reward amounts represent a maximum, not a guaranteed distribution.
9.9 Comparison against our model. Outperforming any OriginStats model or signal is not a condition of eligibility for any reward and does not affect placement. Any badge or recognition associated with such a comparison confers no entitlement to a reward.
9.10 Promotion to Expert. The highest ten placements in a monthly or seasonal competition may be promoted to Expert status. Weekly competitions do not confer promotion. Promotion is a change of account status only, confers no entitlement to any reward, and may be withheld or reversed under 9.15.
9.11 Annual championship. An annual championship period comprises four seasonal competitions, beginning when the first of them begins; it does not correspond to a calendar year and, because the championship is contested after those competitions conclude, ordinarily extends beyond twelve months. The highest ten placements in the All division of each seasonal competition earn one entry to that championship. An account earns at most one entry however many seasonal competitions it places in. The championship is contested as a group stage followed by successive elimination rounds, each of a fixed duration and each requiring predictions on a minimum number of separate days, failing which the account is placed last in its group irrespective of its results. Where two or more accounts cannot be separated at an elimination boundary, we determine the outcome. Rewards are awarded to the highest three placements, third place being taken by whichever account eliminated at the penultimate stage recorded the higher win rate during that stage. We set the commencement, structure, group sizes, advancement numbers and minimum participation requirements of each championship, and may vary them before the relevant stage begins.
9.12 Crediting and correction. Rewards are credited automatically to your Rewards balance when the relevant period closes; no claim is required. We may correct an entry that was credited in error, including by making a corresponding adjusting entry to your balance, and may recover an amount credited in error or as a result of any conduct described at 9.15. Where an adjustment would reduce your balance below zero we may recover the shortfall from subsequent credits.
9.13 Use of Rewards. Rewards may be used only to obtain items made available in the OriginStats shop, subject to availability, and clause 10 governs those items. Rewards are not money and are not redeemable, exchangeable or refundable for cash or any other consideration. They may not be sold, assigned, gifted or transferred to any other person or account. Most items are available to every user. Some items are restricted to accounts holding a paid subscription, to accounts holding Expert status, or to either, and the shop marks any item that is restricted before you redeem it; the restriction is applied at the time you redeem. All items remain visible to every user, and Rewards you have earned are not forfeited or reduced by the absence of a subscription or of Expert status. Once you have redeemed an item we will fulfil it under clause 10 even if your subscription ends before fulfilment is complete. We may change which items are restricted, and on what basis, under 9.16; a change takes effect when it is published and does not affect an item you have already redeemed.
9.13A Expiry of Rewards. Rewards expire two years after the end of the month in which they were credited to your account. Our month changes over at 4:01am UTC on the 1st, not at midnight UTC: Rewards credited at or after 4:01am UTC on the 1st of a month count toward that new month, while Rewards credited earlier the same day, before 4:01am UTC, count toward the month before. For example, Rewards credited at any time from 4:01am UTC on 1 August 2026 up to just before 4:01am UTC on 1 September 2026 expire at the end of August 2028, while Rewards credited at 2am UTC on 1 August 2026 count toward July and so expire at the end of July 2028. When you redeem Rewards, we deduct from whichever Rewards in your balance are due to expire soonest, so that no Rewards expire while an earlier-expiring balance sits unused. We will notify you inside the service, in advance of expiry, when a Rewards balance is due to expire within 30 days and again within 7 days, stating the amount due to expire and the date. Rewards that expire are removed from your balance and cannot be redeemed, restored or compensated, except as follows. Where we reverse a redemption because you changed your mind or ordered the wrong item, the returned Rewards resume the expiry date they already had, whether or not that date has since passed. Where we reverse a redemption for any other reason, including because we could not supply the item, fulfilment failed, or we suspended it while reviewing your account, the returned Rewards are given an expiry date at least 30 days after the date of the reversal, so that a return we are responsible for cannot hand you back Rewards with no practical time to use them. Nothing in this clause limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law.
9.14 Verification. We may require you to confirm or verify your identity, age or eligibility before a reward is credited or an item is fulfilled, and may withhold a reward pending that confirmation. We ask for your date of birth when you create an account, and we check it against the minimum age at 9.3. Accounts created before we began asking may not have given one; where that is so, we ask for it before we credit a redemption or take a payment from you, and your eligibility rests on your acceptance of these Terms until you give it.
9.15 Abuse and disqualification. We may withhold, delay, reverse or refuse a reward, disqualify an account from a competition or from promotion, and suspend or terminate an account, where we reasonably suspect the operation of duplicate or linked accounts, reward farming, collusion or coordinated play, reciprocal following, manipulation of the timing or content of predictions, interference with settlement or scoring, or any other conduct that abuses or circumvents these features or their intended operation.
9.16 Changes and discontinuation. We may add, alter, suspend, shorten, extend or discontinue any competition, division, period, format, minimum participation requirement, published reward amount, or the OriginStats shop and its contents. A change to the minimum participation requirements at 9.6 takes effect only for competition periods beginning after the change is published; a period already under way is judged by the requirements in force when it began, and we cannot raise a bar you have already met. A change to the placement criteria at 9.5 may take effect for a competition period already under way, and where it does it is applied to every competitor in that period on the same basis, so that the figure shown against a placement is always the figure the placement was decided on. Where we change the placement criteria at 9.5 we may also restate, on the new basis, the figures shown for competition periods that have already closed, so that every figure on the Site is measured in the same way; such a restatement does not alter any placement already decided or any reward already credited, and the placement of a closed period remains the one decided under the criteria then in force. Other changes may take effect at any time. Where a competition period is discontinued before it closes, no reward is payable in respect of it. Changes do not apply retrospectively to a reward already credited except as permitted by 9.12.
9.17 Closure of your account. Where we suspend or terminate your account under 9.15, or where you are in material breach of these Terms, any unused Rewards balance is forfeited and no compensation is payable. Where your account is closed for any other reason, including at your own request or on our discontinuing the service, we will give you a reasonable opportunity of not less than thirty days to use your Rewards balance before it lapses, unless we are prevented from doing so by law. Nothing in this clause limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law.
9.18 Taxes. You are solely responsible for determining and discharging any tax or similar liability arising from your receipt or use of Rewards or of any item obtained with them.
9.19 Decisions and your rights. Our determinations as to placement, eligibility, disqualification and the crediting of rewards are final, save in the case of manifest error or where we exercise our rights under 9.12. Nothing in this clause limits or excludes any right you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
9.20 OriginArena. OriginArena is a competition of skill in which sixteen accounts are placed in a room and, on each of four consecutive game days, every account remaining in the room publishes analyses of the same six matches chosen by OriginStats. Entry is free and no purchase improves your prospects. Each day the accounts remaining are paired, and in each pair the account with the higher win rate on that day's matches advances and the other is eliminated; where win rates are equal the higher average profit percentage (shown on the Site as "Avg Profit %") advances, then the account with more settled analyses, then an Expert over a non-Expert, and where all are equal the outcome is decided by a draw that does not measure performance. An account that is placed in a room and publishes no analyses before that day's lock is eliminated from that room and is barred from joining a further room for a number of rooms that increases with each such failure within the preceding ninety days; a failure on a day on which the account was in more than one room counts once, and we may lift a bar, in which case it is not counted against the account again. Accounts operated by OriginStats may be placed in a room to bring it to sixteen and may win it, on the terms at 9.4. The last account remaining is credited a reward, in the amount published on the Site from time to time, under 9.12; that reward may be withheld, delayed or reversed under 9.15, including where accounts in one room appear to be linked. A day on which OriginStats cannot select six matches is a rest day, and every room resumes on the next game day. Analyses published in OriginArena do not count toward any other competition, ranking or record on the Site.
Items obtained with Rewards are supplied by us or by a third-party supplier identified at the point of redemption. Availability, specifications, and delivery estimates are those shown in the shop at the time of redemption and may change. Obtaining an item with Rewards is not a purchase for money, but it is a supply of goods to you: where you are a consumer, those goods carry whatever guarantees, warranties or rights the consumer protection law applicable to you gives them, including as to quality, fitness for purpose, and correspondence with their description, and nothing in these Terms limits those rights or your remedies under them. Where an item cannot be supplied after you have redeemed for it, we will restore the Rewards debited.
Some rewards are not a single item but a choice: the shop states a maximum value in United States dollars and a list of approved brands, and you select any model of an approved brand whose recommended retail price in your country is at or below that stated value. The stated value is a ceiling on what we will source, not a cash entitlement and not a valuation of what you receive. If you choose an item below the stated value, the difference is not paid to you, credited to you, or carried forward, and Rewards are debited in full. If no model of an approved brand is available at or below the stated value in your country, or the item you select cannot be supplied there, we will tell you and you may either choose again or cancel, in which case the Rewards debited are restored under clause 10. What the stated value covers, and what remains your responsibility — including any tax, duty, registration, insurance or delivery charge — is set out in that reward's own terms in the shop at the time you redeem. Clause 9.14 applies: we may require you to confirm your identity and address before an item of this kind is fulfilled.
You retain ownership of the predictions, commentary, and other material you publish through the service. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display, distribute, and make that material available through the service, including where an Expert's material is made available to other users in exchange for Origin Coins, and to use it in aggregate or de-identified form to operate, analyse, and improve the service. That licence continues in respect of material already published if your account is closed. You are responsible for ensuring that what you publish is yours to publish and does not infringe the rights of any other person.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee, warranty or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the law applicable to you, or any liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Your mandatory rights under your local consumer protection law apply in addition to these Terms and prevail over them to the extent of any inconsistency. Subject to that: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data or anticipated savings, however arising; and our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in that period and one hundred United States dollars, or its equivalent in your local currency. Where the law applicable to you permits us to limit our liability for failure to comply with a statutory guarantee or warranty in respect of services, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the services or paying the cost of having them resupplied.
The service is operated internationally and is available in many countries. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from bringing a claim in any court that has jurisdiction under the consumer protection law applicable to you, or from making a complaint to a consumer protection regulator in your own country, and nothing in these Terms requires you to bring a claim anywhere other than where your local law entitles you to bring it. Before commencing proceedings, we each agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute by contacting the other using the details at clause 14.
